An Executive Recruitment Assignment is when Madison-Davis is given an assignment by a client to find a specific person to be hired by the client company to perform a specific role or job function.

Sometimes Madison-Davis will be retained to also put an interim executive in place while the search is being conducted. The following are examples of this type of service:

  • Technology Services Industry. In 2000 during the height of the technology bubble, Madison-Davis successfully recruited the CEO from one of the top technology IPO's of the late 1990's to lead another high-tech start up that had just gone public. This excutive brought his cadre of investors, board members, and strategic partners to help his new firm reach new levels of success.


  • Retail Industry. In 2001, when an international retailer was looking for a new CEO with very specific industry experience, Madison-Davis was called into action because of its expert experience in this niche market. Seven figure executives from some of the leading brand name companies in this sector were interested in this opportunity.

    Madison-Davis handled the search directly for the non-english speaking founder of this foreign company by using a translator and satisfying him by introducing him to the top talent that came in through our extensive industry relationships.


  • Computer Software Industry. In 2002, Madison-Davis was retained to complete the search for a Chief Operating Officer who would report to the CEO and basically run the company while the CEO handled the creation and development on a newly patented software product.

    Chemistry was the key to this search as many executives had the skill to do the job, but the person who got the job was one that had the ability to get along very well with the CEO.


  • Pharmaceutical Industry. In 2003, as this world renowned pharmaceutical manufacturing company addressed the regulatory requirements raised by its Big 4 auditor, Madison-Davis Professional Services was retained to find the head of its internal audit staff while utilizing Madison-Davis to function in the internal audit function.

    Madison-Davis handled the transition of this function until another Big 4 firm was hired by the company to perform the Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance work.


  • Banking Industry. In 2004, as a financial services industry company prepared to file an initial public offering, they retained Madison-Davis Professional Services to provide the interim Chief Financial Officer duties while Madison-Davis also conducted the executive search for the permanent CFO.

    Although the interim executive was considered as a potential candidate for the position, after interviewing six other candidates with specific industry experience, one of the six outside candidates was selected for the permanent position.

    The interim executive actually stayed on for two additional months to help with the transition and continues to be used as an outside consultant on a periodic basis.
