Title: Senior Credit Analyst Job Code:VS/NG -2577
Salary: $60,000 Location: Chicago

Overview:

This position is responsible for the credit evaluation and analysis of the company’s prospective and existing lease customer base which includes ensuring corporate credit policies and procedures are maintained in compliance with all established and published guidelines

Responsibilities:

Assure adherence and compliance with corporate credit policies and procedures including:
- Investigate, review and respond to all credit applications and customer agreements received within established corporate objectives
- Obtain credit reports, references and financial information to support level of exposure
- Set-up and maintain major account lines, which include proper exposure and narratives
- Review and analyze past and current financial statements of companies, along with bank references, D&B reports, Moody's and S&P reports and information via Internet and sources
- Provide transactional approval with respective credit authority or recommendation for transactions above credit authority.
- Provide credit write-ups per guidelines
- Organize and maintain credit files for active accounts
- Provide annual reviews of customer credit lines, including analysis of positive and    negative trends. Follow up of necessary information
- Alert management of account specific issues requiring attention
- Assist in financial analysis training of other analysts as requested

 Qualifications:

- BS/BA in finance or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of lease experience.
- Strong credit and financial analysis and credit write-up skills as well as documentation and negotiation experience
- Collection experience a plus
- Small to medium ticket transaction experience desired ($25K - $1 million)
- Proven record of accomplishment of successful handling of credit authority in the small to medium ticket range

The Controller for this company is responsible for the timely and accurate financial reporting of a leasing captive and prepares and monitors the annual budget and strategic plan.  The Controller is also responsible for managing cash, and inter-company transactions.  This position must also maintain solid inter-company relationships, manages SOX compliance activities, as well as, all internal and external audits. 

Will also be responsible for assuring professional development of direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares financial information in accordance with Company’s accounting manual, GAAP, IAS, and IFRS
  • Ensures clean internal and external audits
  • Prepares timely budget submission to Corporate along with leadership in budget and strategic plan preparation
  • Prepares timely reconciliations and confirmations
  • Develops positive working relationships within the Company’s corporate contacts.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and develop a staff of employees performing financial and lease accounting, reporting, and SOX related activities
  • Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP, FASB, IAS, IFRS, and the company accounting manual
  • Analyze financial data for trends, opportunities, and weaknesses

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting with a minimum of 15 years of financial accounting experience including a minimum of 5 years direct leasing experience
  • CPA required
  • MBA, Certified Leasing Professional (CLP) certification preferred
  • InfoLease or comparable lease accounting related software required
  • Good knowledge of GAAP and some experience with IAS
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong P.C. Skills including Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of SAP FI preferred
  • Knowledge of database application(s) a plus

A $500MM portfolio company fo a $5.3 BB Merchant Banking Company is seeking to hire an account representative for their hard asset group in New England and other major markets. They will originate leasing transactions through a network of dealer partners and provide vendor financing directly for select manufacturers.

Market segments served include medical/health care, telecommunications, information technology, furniture, and office equipment. The company will focus foremost on building highly responsive one-to-one relationships with its vendor and dealer customers. Through fast, distinctly personalized service, facilitated by advanced technology, they will enable vendors and dealers to select and leverage the tools they prefer to better serve their own customers and grow their own businesses.

Typical rates will be 300- 400 basis points over like term T's.  They focus on vendor financing and are looking for someone who has contacts within the industry they can leverage. 

They are looking for an individual who can do $8-10MM volume the first year.
